It’s been almost a year since I last posted anything art related on the internet. In fact, it’s been almost a year since I’ve even really drawn anything.

There are a few reasons this has happened. One being that I just became bored with the strip. I’d run out of ideas and didn’t know where to go, which obviously shows by the large variety of comics thrown up on the site. Strips ranging from Malcom & Steve, to stick-man comics, to the infamous comic I’d drawn while drunk and smacked up on the site. Not professional at all.

I told myself if I ever done a comic strip again, I’d do it the right way. I’d plan the strip in advance, create characters that had backgrounds, depth and personality. I wanted the cast planned in advance and a buffer of strips ready in hand.

Recently I’ve been wanting to do it. I’ve had an incredible itch to start drawing again, to creat a comic. It’s hard because it’s so frustrating at the same time. I want nothing more than to load up Painter and Photoshop and pump out some toons. The only problem is that I don’t really know where to start. I’m having the hardest time in the world deciding on a time, place, and setting for my comic. The only character I really have is Malcom, and I don’t even know if I like his name anymore. I don’t know what I want this comic to be about, but I want it so bad! I’ve never had such a hard time creating new characters, I just don’t know how to go about it anymore.

So yes, I’m in the very VERY early stages of creating a comic. But I’ve learned from my past experience not to throw just anything on the internet. I ask anyone who has experience in webcomics…HELP! Please offer any information you can, guide me! How do I go about creating a cast, how do I know what kind of comic to create? How do I write? I’m a horrible writer and I know it.

I came home, hooked it up, turned it on…nothing. My TV says “No signal or Weak signal”. I fiddle around with it and get dashboard to pop up, sweet it’s ok! I go to the settings menu and choose “Set to default settings”. I immediatly recieve a scrambled screen and have to hard reboot the system. Not good. I turn the system back on, and it boots up fine. I fix my resolution, hook it up to the network and it all looks well and good.

I decide it’s time to see what this new-fangled Blu Ray looks like so I pop in the disc. SCRAMBLED SCREEN!!!! fd;slkfj;asdlkfja;sldkgj! !!! So I hard reboot again…nothing…again…nothing…>AGAING;sad;lg ;ajng;la jfks

NOTHING.

$496…for a paperweight. I called them. I’ll be returning this crap tomorrow for either (A) A guaranteed Metal Gear 80gig system or (B) A brand new 40g model.

The thing that makes me the most mad is I traded in my PS2 cause I thought I would have backwards compatablilty with this new PS3, and now I may end up with no BC at all. So needless to say, I’m a bit peeved.

What’s going on: I’ve recently come to a decision, to re-enlist in the Navy! It wasn’t an easy decision to make and I won’t go into the details at the moment. But upon doing so, I have also decided that while I may not be creating comics for a living, a new series is in order. Enter “Keelhauled!”, a new series based off my trials and tribulations in the Navy. That is all for now.
